Cbank: Russia’s external debt rises 5.9% in 2019 to $481.5 bln
MOSCOW, Jan 21 (PRIME) -- Russia’s external debt increased by U.S. $26.8 billion, or 5.9%, in 2019 to $481.5 billion mainly on the back of foreign purchases of the country’s debt securities denominated in rubles and other currencies, the central bank said in a statement on Tuesday.
The external debt of the private sector of the economy remained almost flat in the year, the authority said.
